The Beach
We are approximately one kilometre from this safe and sandy beach where one can spend many hours relaxing, swimming or strolling along whilst looking out towards Scotland and the Mull of Kintyre. There is also a safe play park area at the beach side.
The River
Take some time out to enjoy our river walk, which runs through the centre of the valley where you can reflect on the true beauty and tranquillity of Glenariffe. This walk leads to the famous 'Ulster Way' walk where you can cross some remarkably wild country, heathery hills studded with sheep and a great expanse of moor covered in low hummocks
Sailing and Fishing
For those who enjoy water activities, why not join the locals for a day of fishing or sailing at our local harbour or out at sea.
Waterfalls
One of many attractions in Glenariffe, are our famous waterfalls. One can stroll leisurely up through the waterfalls on the many walks whilst listening to the calm of the flowing water and one may even be lucky enough to spot a few squirrels along the way!
At the top, you will reach the Forest Park where you can continue to walk for many miles and take in the spectacular view of Glenariffe Glen.
Coast Road and Red Bay Castle
In the distance one can see the ruins of Red Bay Castle, which was built in 1561 by Sir James McDonnell, and was the scene of many battles in the late 16 th century.
The Antrim coast road has recently been voted one of the top scenic drives in the world, in a British Guild of Travel Writers survey.
